Tom Hanks filmed ‘Cast Away’ on Monuriki Island, just a few minutes to the North of Matamanoa (and not to be confused with Castaway Island Resort to the South).

We will take you on a guided tour of the main part of the island, pointing out interesting places linked to the film.

There is also some amazing flora and fauna on the island, things that are used by the Fijians for food and medicine.
