WAISALIMA BEACH RESORT
| Kadavu (pronounced Kan-dah-vu) and the Great Astrolabe Reef are synonymous with pristine, untouched diving. With one of the world’s deepest trenches running along the southern edge of the reef, the area is drenched with clean, clear, nutrient rich water. This nurtures a full, vibrant circle of healthy marine life, from nudibranchs to sharks, as well as a stunning variety of both hard and soft corals. |
The Naigoro Pass is our best known dive site. It is a Marine Reserve, run by the local village, to whom we pay $5 per dive to help them keep away unwanted fishermen. Sharks hang out on a regular basis and multi coloured soft corals bloom in the current. Not surprisingly most of our dive sites are here – only 10 minutes from the Resort. Our other sites include Archways, Tulala’s Ledges, Turtle Lair, Fish Market, Japanese Garden, Purple Wall, Shark Alley, Split Rock, Broken Stone and many more.
Just that little bit more difficult to get to, Kadavu amply rewards that extra effort. Diving is simple, safe, beautiful and uncrowded. Our extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional PADI staff will make your Kadavu dive experience even more enjoyable. |
